Butterscotch Cafe > Pizza Hut @ Vivo > A short meet-up with Captain A.
It has been about 2 months since I had some individual time with Teresa and the both of us really needed this as we have not caught up with both our lives in such a long time.
Hence, we had decided to meet today for a H2H talk and some really good food. She was craving for something dessert-like while I was craving for Pizzas and so we decided to satisfy both cravings.
As she was wanting to visit Butterscotch Cafe which was located at Bukit Merah, I agreed to visit it as when would I ever say no to cafes or desserts? Thereafter, we thought of heading to Pizza Hut at Harbourfront to get some hot pizzas over there.
I really liked how the cafe was amidst blocks and shophouses in the rustic Bukit Merah. For someone who is very particular about customer service, their service crew were friendly too.
The Menu had a variety of desserts but minimal main courses and I guess it is very much expected. We placed an order for their Churros and Waffles with Ice-cream.
A tin of warm and crispy 6 Churros served with a small tin of chocolate dip.
This deep fried Churros had a very thick filling however it won me with it's strong cinnamon fragrance and taste. The chocolate dip was good to go along with it but it would have been better if they were not too stingy with the portion of the sauce served. In overall, it was delicious and even delicious when shared with a friend.
Waffles with a scoop of Famous Amos flavoured Ice-Cream.
Our second order had arrived too and that was warm waffles with ice-cream. YES, if anyone knows me well, they know that waffles are an essential for me and it is even better when they are topped with ice-cream. I am actually particular about the batter of waffles but I do appreciate them despite my complaints. For $9, I would say that Prima Deli's waffles wins this like how it wins my heart all the time. It was an average-well-done waffle which was not served as warm as it should have been.
BUT, guess what made it all better as a whole? The ice-cream choice that I made. I chose a scoop of Famous Amos ice-cream which had chocolate syrup drizzled over it. It tasted very much similar to my favour cookie dough flavoured ice-cream but it had its uniqueness to it too. YUMZ! I can just eat a tub of that flavoured ice-cream.
That is about it for the indulgence we had at Butterscotch Cafe.
We then took a bus to Harbourfront Bus Interchange to walk over to Vivocity to grab some Pizzas but once we had reached there, we actually felt that we only had space in our tummies for a small portion and hence went with a smaller size option of Pan Pizzas.
As expected, we could hardly move after that but we needed to do some window shopping and walk around to ease ourselves.
We had walked into several stores and shared many "I am definitely going to get this", "OMG, this is so beautiful" as we extended our wishlist together. Just as we were walking, we chanced upon an exhibition which displayed huge figurines of Avenger's heroes located in the first level of Vivo City.
Guess who got excited?
ME. ME. ME.
Captain A with his Sharon Carter who was having a bad hair day.
We literally could not let ourselves move away from there. There were many other people of all ages crowding the area too. At that moment, we both promised each other that we are definitely catching the movie together. Hehe!
Soon after, we had both headed home although we had our usual withdrawal symptoms. It was a great great day today!
Lots of love,
